
Bernard Key is a man with a plan. His plan? To help parents of students who have aspirations of becoming doctors & scientists to attend college. And how can he achieve his goal while program budgets are cut and people are losing jobs? Well, just throw a friendly little video gaming competition into the mix and you have a plan for fun and giving.
Key, whom founded Key Link Technologies, along with his partners from Green Stream and Crown Games. Have donated their resources and time to assist young students and parents raise money, along with prizes and other promotional items donated by Best Buy and Game Crazy.

The event , which was held at University of Illinois Chicago’s Behavioral Science Building. Featured games such as Halo 3, Guitar Hero, Gears of Wars 2, Lego Star Wars, and Forza 2. Tournaments for Halo 3, Gears Of War 2 and Guitar Hero were held, with prizes going to the winners. The event attracted families and younger players whose lighthearted and friendly atmosphere was evident as smiles and laughs were heard and seen from behind the controllers.

For these children and Key, a chance to have fun while helping to send a future scientist to college is not only a pleasure, but a passion.
If you’d like to help Bernard and his partners by participating. Their next gaming event will be held this Saturday, May 2nd at the UIC Behavioral Science Building at 1007 W Harrison, Chicago IL. Proceeds from the event support the UIC Physician Scientist Training Program.
